The BFC Scoop

Hello BFC Friends, Families, and Neighbors,

Welcome to March 2026 — we’re beginning to see signs of spring on the horizon, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy for gathering, playing, and reconnecting as a community.

As the weather slowly begins to warm, we’re excited to see families returning to playgrounds, playgroups, and community spaces around town. This month includes a mix of cozy indoor events and opportunities to enjoy the first hints of spring together. From Book Club conversations to playroom gatherings like our upcoming Teddy Bear Picnic, there are many small moments this month where friendships can grow and families can connect.

One fun idea that recently came from one of our playgroup leaders is a “Shovel Party” at the Town Center Playground — bringing families together to help clear snow so the playground will be ready when temperatures reach the 50s and 60s later this week and next. It’s a wonderfully simple reminder of what makes this community special: neighbors showing up together in creative and supportive ways.

Behind the scenes, we’re also continuing to look ahead to some of BFC’s favorite spring traditions. Planning is underway for events like the Spring Egg Hunt, New Moms Brunch, and Spring Concert, and we’re always grateful for the volunteers and families who help bring these gatherings to life.

On a personal note, this will also be a bittersweet month for my family. As many of you know, we will be moving to Austin, Texas very soon, and I will be stepping down from my role as BFC Co-Director. Serving this community has been an incredible privilege, and I’m deeply grateful for the friendships, collaboration, and support that make Bedford such a special place for families.

While I’m excited for the opportunities ahead, I will truly miss this town and the wonderful network of families who make BFC what it is.

As always, BFC is about showing up in whatever way works for you — attending events, helping behind the scenes, connecting with other parents, or simply staying in the loop. Every family who participates helps strengthen the village we’re building together.

We’ve gathered everything happening this month — plus important dates and details — into our March 2026 Newsletter below so you can easily see what’s coming up.

Thank you for being part of this community.

Warmly,
The Bedford Family Connection Team

Despite a few unexpected tech hiccups, the "Meet & Greet" the School Committee Candidates still made it into print — and that’s thanks to Piper Pavelich, Community Reporter for The Bedford Citizen.  We are incredibly grateful for her patience and thoughtful reporting. Local journalism matters, and we appreciate the care she brings to telling Bedford’s stories.
