A magical, choose-your-own-adventure stroll through Bedford — perfect for families, neighbors, and visitors of all ages!
1. Bedford Depot – START HERE
120 South Road, Bedford
Open 11 AM – 6 PM (Storytime at 3:30 PM)
Kick off your holiday adventure with the Friends of Depot Park!
Explore the historic B&M Railcar — decked out for the season with its own special tree — browse the Freight House shop for unique gifts, admire model trains, and check out the newly installed 1955 Bedford Rail Yard diorama. Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt, meet Conductor Henry for storytime at 3:30 PM, and grab a free candy cane!

2. Narrow Gauge Rail Trail – A Starlit Stroll
Enjoy a stroller-friendly winter walk under the early evening sky as you make your way toward Great Road.
Crunch, crunch, crunch… through the snowy trail we go!

3. Holiday Artisans Market & Annual Tree Lighting
Bedford Town Common & First Parish
2 PM – 6 PM | Tree Lighting at 5 PM (Santa arrives immediately after!)
Wander through a bustling outdoor/indoor marketplace featuring 40+ artisan vendors, kids crafts, live music, and the beloved Children’s Fair.
At 5 PM, watch the tree sparkle to life — then keep an eye out for a very special guest from the North Pole!
Look at those lights twinkle and glow — we made it, ho ho ho!
4. Ride Back to the Depot!
Hop on the MBTA Route 62 bus for just $1.70 and glide back to the Depot for a festive finale.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
Back to the Depot, safe and sound!
